While they're far from being crucial items to have, talismans are nevertheless very powerful pieces of gear that will help make your character build more potent in Elden Ring. Whether you're looking for improved stats, more potent spells, increased damage resistance, or other benefits, there's a talisman in Elden Ring that will suit your needs.

With that said, there are a ridiculous number of talismans in the game, to the point where it's difficult to know which ones are the best and which ones are more niche or don't provide benefits that are that useful. With that in mind, we've created this guide that goes over what each of the best talismans in Elden Ring are, as well as how or where you can acquire them.

Elden Ring: Great-Jar's Arsenal location

Great-Jar's Arsenal Location

The Great-Jar's Arsenal is a stellar talisman that works well with any build, and is essentially the Elden Ring version of the Havel's Ring from Dark Souls. It raises your maximum equipment load by 19%, allowing you to wear much heavier armor or use much heavier weapons or shields than you would be able to use without the talisman.

You can obtain the Great-Jar's Arsenal by talking to the Great-Jar in northern Caelid, defeating the three Knights of the Great-Jar invaders you can summon there, and then finally speaking with him again.

Elden Ring: Bull-Goat's Talisman location

If you're looking to give your character some more poise but don't have the Endurance for heavy armor sets (or you want more poise than heavy armor provides) the Bull-Goat's Talisman is a must-have item. It reduces incoming poise damage by a full 25%, allowing your character to continue attacking through enemy blows that would normally interrupt your moveset. This is incredibly valuable in PvP, and it's also very useful in PvE when facing difficult enemies like Banished Knights.

You can obtain the Bull-Goat's Talisman from the Dragonbarrow Cave in eastern Dragonbarrow, which is located in the side of the cliff that's right next to the Minor Erdtree there. It can be found past the large bear in the cave, which we recommend sneaking around.

Elden Ring: Erdtree's Favor location

The Erdtree's Favor is the Elden Ring version of Dark Souls' famous Ring of Favor and Protection. It boosts your health, stamina, and maximum equipment load all at once, making it a fantastic talisman for melee characters (especially Strength builds).

You can find the Erdtree's Favor within the Fringefolk Hero's Grave dungeon, across a narrow bridge. Note that the dungeon itself is found just before The First Steps Site of Grace in Limgrave. You'll need two Swordstone Keys to enter the dungeon.

Elden Ring: Graven-Mass Talisman location

Graven-Mass Talisman Location

The Graven-Mass Talisman is an extremely powerful talisman perfect for any sorcerer, as it boosts the potency of all sorcery magic by a full 8%. That may not sound like a lot, but when you consider how easily and quickly you can spam sorceries at enemies in Elden Ring, that extra damage will add up very fast.

You can find the Graven-Mass Talisman in a chest at the top of the Albinauric Rise tower found in the eastern portion of the Consecrated Snowfield. Note that you'll need to bring Fanged Imp Ashes or a Bewitching Branch to enter the tower, as you need to get the imps there to fight other imps to break the seal keeping you out.

Elden Ring: Flock's Canvas location

The Flock's Canvas Talisman is essentially the Faith version of the Graven-Mass Talisman, as it boosts the power of all incantations by 8%. It's a must-have talisman for any Faith character, especially if you like to use a lot of spells.

The Flock's Canvas Talisman can be obtained by killing Gowry in his shack in eastern Caelid once you finish Millicent's questline.

Elden Ring: Dragoncrest Greatshield location

The Dragoncrest Greatshield is a stellar talisman that works well in any of the best Elden Ring builds, as it raises your resistance to physical damage by 20%. Whether you're a lightly armored mage or a heavily armored Strength juggernaut, having tons of extra physical protection is very valuable.

You can get the Dragoncrest Greatshield from a chest in the large building found in the northeastern portion of Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.

Elden Ring: Green Turtle Talisman location

Managing your stamina is important regardless of which type of character you're playing as, so why not pick up a talisman that boosts your stamina recovery speed? That's precisely what the Green Turtle Talisman is for. This useful item ensures that you regenerate your stamina very quickly, allowing you to attack, block, or roll more frequently than you'd be able to do otherwise.

The Green Turtle Talisman can be found within a small underground area in the eastern portion of the Summonwater Village, which is found in eastern Limgrave.

Elden Ring: Radagon Icon location

The Radagon Icon talisman is an excellent choice for sorcerers and Faith users alike, as it boosts the casting speed of sorceries and incantations considerably. This is a great talisman to use if you want to use spells that often take a long time to cast and tend to leave you very exposed, such as Elden Stars or Comet Azur.

The Radagon Icon can be found in a hidden room within the Raya Lucaria Academy that you can access by climbing the ladder found east of the room where the Debate Parlor Site of Grace is.

Elden Ring: Radagon's Soreseal location

The Radagon's Soreseal is a great talisman for Quality-build melee players who want a boost to their stats, as it gives you five extra points into Vigor, Endurance, Strength, and Dexterity. It also makes you take 10% more damage, though, so this talisman is high risk, high reward.

The Radagon's Soreseal can be found in Fort Faroth in eastern Caelid, on a corpse you can find by dropping through the roof of the fort.

Elden Ring: Blessed Dew location

If you're looking for something that provides passive healing, the Blessed Dew Talisman is perfect for you. It regenerates 2 HP per second when worn. This doesn't help much in active combat, but you can allow this talisman to heal you back to full health between combat encounters in order to save on your healing flasks.

The Blessed Tew Talisman is found in the western portion of Leyndell, Royal Capital, in a chest guarded by a Golem. Note that you can teleport to the talisman's location by opening the trapped chest in the Tower of Return in the southwestern region of the Weeping Peninsula.

Elden Ring: Golden Scarab location

Last but not least is the Golden Scarab talisman, which increases the amount of runes you gain from defeated enemies by 20%. Used in tandem with the best ways to farm runes in Elden Ring, this talisman will make grinding runes for leveling a breeze. If you're good at quickly swapping your equipped items, you can even hotswap to the Golden Scarab after defeating a boss to get a massive amount of additional runes.

The Golden Scarab can be found by defeating the boss of the Abandoned Cave dungeon in central Caelid.

Elden Ring is finally here, and it's available for $60 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC. It's one of the best Xbox games you can play right now if you're a fan of challenging RPGs, and we strongly recommend it.
